The American Duchess will arrive in Memphis at Beale Street Landing at 4:00 a.m. and will depart the that day at 5:00 p.m. The American Duchess is the first all-suite paddlewheeler on U.S. rivers. The paddlewheeler, created from a 1995 hull, was completely reconstructed to feature single-seating main dining and entertainment venues, soaring ceilings, and all of the features guests have come to expect on other American Queen Steamboat Company cruise.

New name! The FREE weekly yoga series will happen every Tuesday in Memphis Park, 6-7 p.m. with Charlie Baxter Graham. Please bring your own mat or towel – yoga surface is in the grassy area. The World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is a four-day event taking place in Downtown Memphis with the Mississippi River as the backdrop. More than 230 teams come from more than 25 states and several foreign countries to participate in America’s most prestigious barbecue competition. The Queen of the Mississippi will arrive in Memphis at Beale Street Landing at 8:45 a.m. and will depart the next day at 1:30 p.m. The Queen of the Mississippi launched in 2012 and is modeled after traditional Victorian-style riverboats of the late 1800s. The Great American River Run is a half marathon and 5K race taking place in downtown Memphis on Saturday, May 26, 2018.
