The season is winding down, but that doesn’t mean we’re done having fun! Check out these activities at Mud Island River Park before November!

1. Mississippi River Museum: Tuesday – Sunday  from 10AM – 5 PM

If you have been – you know how interesting and neat this space is. If you haven’t been – it is a great way to get some history about the Mississippi River and what it means to Memphis and the US, plus there is a big river boat complete with cannons and a deck that you can explore. It really is quite neat. Teachers: this is a great field trip idea and, after touring the museum, your kids can head out to the River Walk and get an up close and personal look at all of the Mississippi’s twists and turns.

Make a day of it and have lunch at the cafe. Menu items include hot dogs, pizza, popcorn, chips, cookies, beverages and more. Prices ranging from $1 to $7.

To book a tour or for more information about the park visit www.mudislandriverpark.com.

2. Pedal Boating with an Ultra Scenic View: Tuesday – Sunday  from 10AM – 5 PM

Follow the River Walk south, to Mud Island River Park’s Gulf of Mexico and climb aboard one of the unique pedal boats. This one acre water area has one of the best views of the Memphis skyline in the entire city. Relax and float or get active and pedal around the “Gulf” for some exercise.

And it makes for a great photo opp!
